Caryll L. Collins
Caryll L. Collins is the lovely wife of former Arizona senator Jon Kyl –who is going back into public service to serve the state of Arizona.
Caryll’s husband has been named as the replacement of late Sen. John McCain. Kyl will serve as a placeholder and is not expected to run in 2020 — the year voters will decide who will fill McCain’s seat for the following two years. After that, the seat will be open for a full six-year term.
After retiring from Congress in 2013, Kyl, 76, joined the law firm Covington & Burling as part of its “expansion of its public policy and government affairs practice.”
According to his biography on the firm’s website, Kyl “advises companies on domestic and international policies that influence U.S. and multinational businesses and assists corporate clients on tax, health care, defense, national security and intellectual property matters among others.”
He spent 26 years in congress –where he built a reputation for mastering the complexities of legislative policy and coalition building, first in the House of Representatives and then in the Senate. He has been happily married to Caryll L. Collins since 1964.
The longtime marriage produced two children; Jon Kyl Jr. and Kristine Kyl Gavin. Caryll L. Collins is also the proud grandmother of at least four grandchildren.
Not much is known about Caryll L. Collins aka Caryll Kyl. She doesn’t have much of a presence on the web so we assume she’s been a stay at home mom –raising her children and supporting her husband’s career from home. She does appear accompanying her husband to important events. Check out more photos of her below.
