Margaret Hunter
Margaret Hunter is the lovely wife of California congressman, Duncan Hunter -who will be pleading guilty in federal court.
Duncan is a native of San Diego, graduating from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon before going on to San Diego State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Soon after graduation, Duncan began working full time as a Business Analyst.
Following the 9/11 attacks, Duncan quit his job and joined the Marine Corps. Between 2002 and 2006, he served two combat tours in Iraq, before making the decision to run for Congress. In November 2008, Duncan was elected to his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Last August Duncan Hunter and wife Margaret, were indicted on charges including conspiracy, wire fraud, and violating campaign finance laws. Rep. Hunter was also accused of using campaign funds to have extramarital affairs with at least five women.

#1 She was born in Poland
Margaret Hunter was born Margaret Jankowski -the oldest daughter of Steve and Miroslawa Jankowski, a couple who moved their two daughters to America in the late 1980s, escaping “the bleak landscape of communist Poland,” according to Steve Jankowski’s 2010 obituary quoted by The San Diego Union-Tribune.
#2 She is a mom
Margaret Hunter and Duncan Hunter have been married since 1998. She is the mother of the couple’s three children; daughters Elizabeth and Sarah, and son, Duncan Hunter.
#3 She carried out her husband’s campaign while he was in Afghanistan
Only a few weeks after declaring his candidacy, Duncan was recalled to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan.
He carried out his campaign through his wife and family as they reached out to the voters on his behalf, until his return in late November of 2007.
#4 Margaret Hunter has shown her support for her husband
In a 2014 meet and greet –hosted by Polonia United, an organization of Polish Americans in San Diego –her husband praised the Polish people for their support of freedom and their strong work ethic. Margaret, who was also at the event, addressed the group with a bilingual talk in Polish and English.
#5 She entered a guilty plea
Prosecutors allege that Hunter and his wife diverted $250,000 in campaign funds for personal use. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to misuse campaign funds back in June, a move that put enormous pressure on him to find a deal with federal prosecutors.
