Kinga Lampert

Kinga Lampert is the lovely wife of billionaire businessman and investor, Eddie Lampert –currently the chairman of Sears.

Kinga’s husband previously served as Sears’ CEO, the New York native born Edward Scott Lampert on July 19, 1962; is also the founder, chairman and CEO of his own hedge fund investment company.

Lampert received his bachelor’s in economics from Yale University. After graduating, he worked alongside fellow billionaire Daniel Och at Goldman Sachs. After a stint at Goldman Sachs’ risk arbitrage department, Edward Lampert founded hedge fund ESL Investments in 1988.

He took over as CEO of Sears in 2013 and stepped down in October of 2018, following Sears’ bankruptcy announcement.

#1 Kinga Lampert is his wife of 18-years

Kinga Lampert, the former Kinga Keh and Eddie Lampert, became husband and wife in 2001. The couple met in New York and are often pictured together attending a number of social events.

#2 She worked as a lawyer

Kinga was born in 1973; the 46-year-old worked for many years as a lawyer in New York. The former corporate lawyer nowadays focuses her attention on philanthropy. The Lamperts’ charitable vehicle is the Lampert Foundation.

#3 She is passionate about eradicating breast cancer

Kinga Lampert serves as Chair of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Inc.  She joined the board over a decade ago and became its co-chairman in 2013 after founder Evelyn Lauder passed away. She also lends her time to organizations that range from the Institute of Contemporary Art to the Knowledge is Power Program Miami.

#4 She has lost many friends to cancer

Kinga Lampert told Modern Luxury, “One in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. I want to be part of the solution to eradicate this disease so my children will know a world without it,” she explains. “I’ve lost too many friends to this illness. There’s a real urgency to this cause.”
