Meet the lovely Mrs. Elissa Leonard aka Elissa Powell! Her husband Jerome Powell is Chairman of the Federal Reserve since January 2018 and a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

Since all of you know plenty about him, there is no point in telling you more; therefore let me tell you Elise Leonard’s short yet interesting biography.

Jerome Powell’s wife was born Elisa Ann Leonard on May 20, 1957; the daughter of Phyllis Bachner Leonard and her husband Harvard graduate and World War II veteran George Hill Leonard.

She grew up in Rockville, Maryland, along with her two brothers Jonathan and Jeffrey Leonard.

Likewise her pops, Elissa graduated cum laude from Harvard in 1979, with a Visual and Environmental Studies and Government major.

In 1980, Elissa Leonard got her first job as a writer and producer for the t.v. series Innovation; was the scriptwriter for Powerhouse and executive producer for Sally Pacholok, starring Andrew Ballard and Annet Mahendru.

More recently Mrs. Leonard Powell has been working in the short films Summer, Ladies in Black and Sadie Q.

Moreover, Jerome & his talented wife exchanged vows on September 14, 1985, in the Bethlehem Chapel of the Washington Cathedral. They have been blessed with three incredible children; daughters Susie and Lucy and son Sam.
