Wendy Berry and Jason Flom were married for twenty years. In 2010 they decided to get divorced. At first, the divorce was going to be amicable, but things seem to have heated up, and two years later, there’s been a change of heart. Flom is the CEO of Lava Records, he also headed other labels such as Atlantic, Capitol and Virgin. Wendy says that she was very influential in helping Jason’s career and thinks she is entitled to half of his fortune. Jason says that she had nothing to do with his success. After twenty years of marriage, it seems that Wendy might have had some kind of influence, but who are we to say.
Jason Flom was born in 1960, his father is Joe Flom. He grew up in Manhattan, and played in two rock bands as a teenager. He chose the music business instead of college and joined Atlantic Records as a protégé of Ahmet Ertegun. His career took off from there. He has worked with Twisted Sister, Skid Row, Jewel, Hootie and the Blowfish, Kid Rock and Katy Perry among others.
According to Wendy, since they’ve split, Jason has been dating and partying nonstop. She also claims that she helped him establish Lava records in 2009. Another source says that she’s just making a lot of wild claims to get what she wants. Flom states that there has been no wild behavior on his part.
Neither Flom’s lawyer, John Kornfeld of Aronson, Mayefsky & Sloan, nor Berry’s lawyer, power attorney William Beslow, have returned requests for comments.
This week, they will be going to court. It remains to be seen what arguments and proofs each party will bring to prove their points.
