The first thing you need to know is that prior to his wedding to Gail, Mr. Icahn was married to his first wife Czech ballerina Liba Trejbal; their marriage lasted 20 years, 1973 to 1999.

 

Liba is the mother of Carl’s two children Michelle Celia Icahn born in 1982, and Brett born in August 1979; member of the board of directors at HowStuffWorks, Take-Two Interactive as well as president of Modal LLC.

Like her husband, Gail was previously married, from that marriage, she welcomed two children; Christie and Shana Golden.

67-year-old Gail, a New York University graduate, former chairwoman at lowstfare.com and vice-president st Icahn Associate.

Prior to that, she was a real estate broker, later an assistant for Mr. Icahn. They eventually tied the knot in 1999.
