Chris Fairbank

Chris Fairbank is the longtime wife of Capital One’s Richard D. Fairbank.

Chris’s husband is widely known as the founder of Capital One Bank. He currently serves as the CEO and Chairman of the corporation. He established the company in 1988 along with Nigel Morris.

#1 Her mother was born in London

Christine Ingrid Uppman was born October 21, 1950. The daughter of Liliane Bertaux Uppman and Carl. According to her obituary, Liliane was born in London, England on April 24, 1919. As a young child, her family moved to Sydney, Australia, where she lived until she was 12 years old. After her mother’s passing, she and her father moved to Paris, France, the home of her paternal relatives. She lived there until she was 27 years old. She and her husband settled in California. Christine has one sister, Michele.

#2 She is a mom of eight

Richard and Chris Fairbank welcomed eight children into their marriage. They are all adults by now including son, Carl Fairbank who in 2008 tied the knot to high-school sweetheart, Victoria Chapman.
Richard and Chris other children are Brian, Melissa, Ashley Anne, Kristen, Sara, John and Michael Fairbank.

They own and live at Overlook Farm, near Gunston Hall on the Potomac River in Virginia. In the past, the family also lived in Bethesda MD.

Until the children were in kindergarten, they would stay up until midnight, getting plenty of time with Dad after he got home from work. They could catch up on sleep in the morning, and then go to preschool in the afternoon.
